User ReviewsAs the name implies, the RowMote Pro iPhone app turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a remote controlled mouse and keyboard which works over the wireless network to control your MAC and Apple TV. RowMote talks to the free Rowmote Helper program that you install on your Mac and setting up is just a matter of entering a code. RowMote doesn’t require a line of sight since it uses the wireless network, and gives you both a trackpad and a keyboard (just shake your iPhone to get the keyboard view) that will let you easily launch and quit apps, type text and more. You get multiple monitor support and have no screen size limitation. Easily toggle between applications on your Mac. If you prefer there is also a dark theme for the app.
The track pad lets you scroll with two fingers, and right click, and drag using multitouch. You can also tap to click or use the virtual button. The app also works in both portrait and landscape modes. Put your Mac to sleep by holding the Play button for 3 seconds.
The keyboard works in only a select set of applications. It does not work in the primary Apple menu system. You can type for example into Safari including extended characters and modifier keys.
